1. Agreement to terms
By downloading, installing, or using LoopLogic ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App, including beta testers and early-access participants.
2. Description of service
LoopLogic is a closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) operations and analytics app that provides pre-dive checklists, O₂ cell health tracking, scrubber usage logging, and related record-keeping functionality. The App operates entirely offline and stores all data locally on your device.
3. Safety and life support disclaimer
Read this section carefully. It directly affects your safety.
LoopLogic is a supplemental record-keeping and planning tool only. It is not a dive computer, not a life support instrument, and must never be used as the primary or sole basis for any safety-critical decision during a dive.
Diving with a closed-circuit rebreather involves inherent risks that can result in serious injury or death. You are solely responsible for:
- Cross-verifying all checklist results, cell readings, and scrubber data against manufacturer-approved instruments and procedures.
- Making all go/no-go dive decisions based on your own training, experience, and manufacturer-approved equipment.
- Ensuring your rebreather is in a safe, serviceable condition before every dive.
scubadeving makes no representation that the App's data, readings, or recommendations are accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular dive. The App may contain bugs, calculation errors, or inaccuracies. Never substitute the App for proper dive training, equipment maintenance, or manufacturer guidance.
4. Beta software notice
LoopLogic is currently pre-release software. Beta and early-access versions may contain bugs, incomplete features, or unexpected behavior. By participating in beta testing you acknowledge that:
- The App is not production-ready and should be used with additional caution.
- Data stored in beta versions may not migrate to future releases.
- Access to the beta may be modified or revoked at any time.
- Feedback you provide may be used to improve the App without compensation.
5. Permitted use
You may use the App for personal, non-commercial dive record-keeping and planning. You may not: reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; redistribute or resell the App or its content; use the App in any way that violates applicable law; or misrepresent the App's output as certified dive equipment data.
6. Intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is the property of scubadeving and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App. Open-source components used in the App are governed by their respective licenses, which are disclosed within the App.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. scubadeving does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, scubadeving shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App — including but not limited to personal injury, death, loss of data, or equipment damage — regardless of the theory of liability and even if scubadeving has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
scubadeving's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
10. Changes to these terms
scubadeving reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
